What We Do

Phenomenal Homeschool is a homeschool co-op located in Chicago, IL. Our children learn together in a safe, nurturing environment complete with a specialized teacher.

We strive to maintain a disciplined curriculum that includes not only core studies, but addresses the child's emotional, social and sensory needs as well.

Each child is evaluated individually and a curriculum is created solely on that child's needs. This unique facet of Phenomenal Homeschool allows the child to continue advancing in topics that they are confident while being able to work on areas that may be more challenging for them.

Our daily schedule includes work in the following areas:
  • Integrated Studies - We pride ourselves on our integrated studies curriculum that allows students to observe and analyze connections across the curricula.
  • Social skills - Through working with other students and the teachers' direct interaction, students are able to  practice and refine their social skills in a nonjudgmental and accepting environment.
  • Emotional skills - Emotional skills are a very important part of development. At Phenomenal Homeschool we take special consideration to make sure that the students' emotional needs are met. Through individual and group work, students are able to explore, express and work through their feelings.
  • Executive functioning - Executive Functioning is an integral part of independent learning. We place great importance on the mastering of these skills by our students. EF skills are continually reinforced and practiced throughout our daily classroom routine.
  • Address sensory needs - We make sure that our students' have a healthy sensory diet in the classroom and that all of their sensory needs are met so that they are able to learn to the best of their ability.
  • Address communication needs - We place great importance on the ability of our students to communicate in multiple ways.  Spanish and sign language, as well as non-verbal communication cues are explored and utilized to help our students express their thoughts and ideas.
  • Special Needs - We pride ourselves on creating an environment that is conducive to the special needs learner. Through providing these students the tools they need to learn along with a modified curriculum, we have created an ideal, safe learning environment for special needs learners.
  • Extracurriculars - During the school year, extracurriculars will be offered to expand on our curriculum and give the students' time to interact in a social environment.
  • Private 1:1 tutoring - Private 1:1 tutoring and therapy is available upon request.
